Meet our Pastor

With a deep love for God's word and helping people understand and apply the Bible to their lives, Ted teaches in a style that is helpful and caring. In preaching he shares God's word with passion and grace, not beating the listener down, but encouraging with the fervor of scripture. He helps his hearers to understand the nuances of the text without being dry and lifeless.

Ted has 20 years of ministry experience serving churches in Texas, Oklahoma, and the Philippines. Pastor Ted Smith has served the Mesquite Valley family since 2003. He also serves Dallas Christian College as an adjunct professor teaching courses in preaching and Bible.

Ted and Cindy "Claire" Smith live in Dallas. They have three children (Anne, Lacey & Eric), five grandchildren (Adien, Aryka, Abby, Smith, and Brayden). Ted and Claire share their home with their pets “Nelson” (toy poodle) and “Oliver” (the cat).
